The purpose of the role
Reporting to the Director, the incumbent will be responsible for buying within a determined product category. They will contribute to the development of collections in accordance with the company's objectives and the financial objectives of product categories.
Main responsibilities
- In collaboration with the planning, allocation, import and design departments and with all the purchasing groups, develop and present a collection in line with the chosen vision, establishing the prices, quantities and turnover of merchandise necessary to achieve financial objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitors and the fashion industry to develop and purchase products targeting BIKINI VILLAGE's client or la Vie en Rose's client.
- Ensure, always, that the budgets of their categories are aligned with the financial plan to increase sales, improve margins, optimize inventories and reduce markdowns.
- Identify and seize business and product opportunities to be at the forefront of their market.
- Develop promotions, marketing, branding and visual strategies to increase sales.
- Participate in meetings of the product category team tasked to determine and prioritize common strategies as well as the vision to take which will generate sales.
- Follow up on orders until delivery.
- Comment and participate in the approval of new fittings and ensure compliance with new standards for "fits" and quality.
- In collaboration with the allocation team, ensure the correct level of inventory and replenish purchases by analyzing needs according to sales, inventory levels, sizes and colors.
- Analyze and prepare purchases for future seasons.
- Monitor current and future budgets and analyze department performance.
- Ensure the transmission of information to the visual presentation department on the characteristics of new products and new promotions.
- Visit stores once a week and compete on a regular basis.
- Communicate with brand suppliers and follow up, if with Bikini Village.
Your Profile

Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience as a buyer.
- College or university degree in fashion marketing, business, business administration, or an equivalent field.
- Knowledge of the lingerie or swimwear industry is a plus.
- Bilingualism (the candidate will need to communicate with English-speaking suppliers).
- Must have knowledge of fabrics and product production.
- Strong knowledge of the Windows environment, especially with Excel.
