Purpose of the position
Reporting to the Director, Merchandise Planning and in collaboration with the departments associated with merchandising, the position holder will contribute to the forecasting of sales and margins, as well as the development of purchasing strategies to meet the financial objectives of the business.
Main responsabilities
- Develop sales and margin plans for Ecommerce by Channel and Category, to reach the semi-annual profit and sales objectives;
- Build scenarios and recommend promotional strategies to optimize sales opportunities for Ecommerce Channels;
- Create and distribute Ecommerce planning reports;
- Collaborate with Marketing, Web Operations, and Digital Acquisition teams to highlight opportunities for Ecommerce channels which drive sales.
- Actively participate in weekly meetings by presenting results and discussing the necessary actions;
- Conduct post-mortem analyses and recommend buying strategies for the future to ensure an optimal assortment and maximize sales opportunities;
- Plan and forecast sales, inventory for basic style items, and ensure follow-up, all while being proactive;
- Review purchases by delivery to control and respect purchasing budgets;

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in administration, Finance or another related field;
- At least 3+ years' experience in a similar position in the retail industry; Prior Ecommerce experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of the complex Excel applications;
- Knowledge of Power BI, Google Analytics and coding languages (SQL/DAX) is an asset.
- Bilingual, speaking and writing, French and English (The person will have to speak with stores outside of Canada);
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
