Purpose of the role
Under the supervision of the Director, Content Strategy and Marketing Communications, the Manager, Public Relations and Communications develops internal, external, and public relations communication strategies. They contribute to increasing La Vie en Rose’s visibility and brand awareness across Canada. They act as a positive leader by ensuring alignment between communications, public relations, and marketing activations with the overall strategy. They oversee the communications and public relations team, which is responsible for implementing event strategies, media relations, internal and external communications, employer brand visibility, in-store activations, and for sharing and promoting these initiatives internally.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan communication and public relations strategies for the La Vie en Rose brand;
- Define PR strategies for marketing campaigns as needed;
- Develop in-store marketing activation strategies;
- Coordinate communication and PR strategies with stakeholders to ensure brand consistency;
- Contribute to the development of the employer brand strategy;
- Collaborate closely with the director and creative team on corporate brand planning and production;
- Participate in selecting communication strategies to prioritize with the director and the team;
- Establish procedures, processes, tools, and documents to improve departmental efficiency;
- Deploy communication and PR strategies to strengthen brand awareness;
- Support the director in internal/external communications and corporate/employer brand management;
- Ensure communication of strategies with relevant teams and departments via meetings, emails, or other appropriate methods;
- Monitor production schedules;
- Provide relevant media information and landscape insights for projects or interview requests;
- Act as a resource person in communications and public relations;
- Participate in various communication, PR, or marketing projects as needed;
- Track and analyze initiative performance and recommend adjustments;
- Support the director in managing the PR budget;
- Conduct ongoing competitive intelligence on employer brand-related days, events, and campaigns;
- Supervise the team on a daily basis, including performance management, project delegation, talent development, and administrative task follow-ups

Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in public relations, communications, marketing, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 1 year in team management.
- Experience in retail or the consumer goods industry.
- Knowledge of product development and buying processes.
- Perfectly bilingual, both written and spoken (The person must create ad campaigns for the Canadian market)
