Purpose of the role
The Team Leader, Human Resources, is responsible for managing the HR advisory team that handles labor relations with our stores across Canada. They ensure consistency, efficiency, and strategic alignment in HR practices, while also overseeing nationwide occupational health and safety (OHS) and group benefits management.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures in alignment with the company's vision and applicable employment standards.
- Produce and analyze key HR performance indicators (statistics, frequency rates, audits, etc.) and develop strategies and procedures to significantly improve these indicators.
- Supervise and support HR advisors in managing labor relations with stores across Canada and with internal departments at the head office.
- Ensure quality and consistency in HR interventions (reviewing disciplinary documents, policies and procedures, employee handbooks, etc.).
- Oversee the application of OHS practices in accordance with provincial laws and standards (CNESST, WSIB, WorkSafe, etc.).
- Follow up on workplace accidents, internal investigations, and gradual return-to-work processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Develop, update, and distribute national OHS prevention programs.
- Manage and supervise the administration of the group insurance plan for all employees (in coordination with HR, payroll, and providers).
- Supervise and intervene in complex cases (long-term absences, disabilities, etc.).
- Collaborate on the annual renewal of the group insurance plan.
- Work closely with the operations, payroll, and training, engagement, and development departments.
- Participate in strategic HR projects and continuous improvement of HR policies and processes.
- Stay current on legal developments to ensure HR compliance and innovation.
- Participate in HR and social committee events.
- Perform any other related tasks as required.

Requirements
- University degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in human resources, including team management.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian labor laws, including OHS (Quebec and other provinces).
- CHRP designation, an asset.
- Experience in group insurance management, an asset.
- Bilingualism French and English required (The person must communicate outside Quebec).
