Purpose of the job

The incumbent of this position is responsible for ensuring that all documents related to Cash Verification are truthful and in compliance with legislation and internal policies. To do this, he must maintain close relations with the stores in order to reduce and resolve cash discrepancies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Validate and reconcile store deposits;
  • Ensure that the cash register closures are swaying and that no bank deposits are missing;
  • Act as a technical support and advisory service to store staff;
  • Verify the various store cash transactions: exchanges/refunds, tax exemptions and others to ensure compliance with the company's procedures and policies and minimize losses due to errors and fraudulent actions;
  • Analyze certain reports related to cash transactions in order to detect anomalies;
  • Respond to gift card requests from our external partners;
  • Place orders for deposit slips for our stores;
  • Place foreign exchange orders with our partner;
  • Follow up with stores to ensure that policies and procedures are well understood and followed in order to minimize and correct errors;
  • Make any other related requests.

  • Rigor and precision: You have a keen eye for detail, which allows you to ensure fair reconciliations and to quickly detect any anomalies.
  • Analytical mind: You know how to analyze reports and transactions in order to identify errors or unusual behaviors and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Service and collaboration: You like to offer clear and professional support to the store teams and our external partners.
  • Integrity and accountability: You understand the importance of following policies and procedures to protect the business from loss and fraud.
  • Organization and reliability: You efficiently manage several follow-ups at once, whether orders, verifications or special requests, while meeting deadlines.


Requirements

  • Bilingualism essential in French and English (spoken and written) (The person will be communicating with people outside of Quebec);
  • Experience in retail (an asset);
  • Experience working with in-store cash registers (an asset);
  • Experience in customer service (an asset);
  • Great ability to concentrate and attention to detail;
  • Ease with numbers and analytics;
  • Proficient in Intermediate/Advanced Excel.
