Job purpose
The incumbent of this position will participate in the design and rollout of training and skills development programs across the organization. They will be responsible for developing the training calendar for stores, the distribution centre, and the head office. They will also be responsible for ensuring alignment between employees’ skills development and the company’s business strategy, and more specifically with the Human Resources strategy.
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of the skills development structure and organizational development programs to strengthen workforce capabilities and support the achievement of our strategic plan
- Ensure the rollout of training programs according to business needs and in compliance with organizational standards, while respecting established timelines
- Analyze organizational skills development needs and provide recommendations
- Design and facilitate a variety of courses and workshops, in person and online, tailored to team needs
- Establish and manage external partnerships with training and development solution providers
- Produce analyses, reports, and statistics related to training programs and provide necessary follow-ups with managers
- Coordinate all training-related activities (participant lists, invitations, communications, and logistics)
- Build partnerships with organizations that can provide professional and financial support (e.g., grants) in managing training initiatives
- Develop and oversee the succession planning program, including identifying high-potential employees in stores and providing them with the necessary training to support their growth
- Design and lead initiatives that foster an inclusive and equitable work environment, and monitor DEI-related performance indicators
- Propose innovative ideas in skills and organizational development, while staying current with emerging trends in the field
- Participate in various special projects within the Human Resources department

- Collaboration and partnerships: You build strong relationships with managers, external partners and organizations to maximize the impact of training and development initiatives.
- Innovation and continuous improvement: You stay on top of trends in organizational development and DEI and bring forward innovative ideas that enrich the employee experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations;
- 3 to 4 years of experience in skills development or training;
- Knowledge of retail (an asset);
- Familiarity with various training creation and delivery tools (both traditional and modern e-learning approaches)
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, communication skills and facilitating sessions with different audiences (In French and English – The person will have to interact with our stores outside Quebec);
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Autonomy and sound judgment;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
